Magnetic foil – properties

Magnetic foil consists of a magnetized and a non-magnetized side. The poles run parallel. Depending on the type of magnetic foil, the pole spacing varies and is therefore optimized for different applications. When using magnetic foil, you should also pay attention to the following properties:

• Raw (not processed, brown on both sides)
• Colored or white foil lamination on the non-magnetized side (RAL colors)
• Self-adhesive coating on the magnetized side
• Thickness: from about 0.4mm to 2mm
• The magnetic holding force (due to the pole spacing) should always be sufficient for different purposes. Magnetic foil is usually permanently magnetic and does not lose its magnetic force even after long-term use.
• Temperature resistance: from approx. -40°C to +80°C

What should you pay attention to when using the magnetic film?

Do not use magnetic foil in combination with other magnets, otherwise you will destroy the magnetic attraction! At temperatures below -20 degrees or above 80 degrees, magnets also lose their adhesion. This decreases more the more the ambient temperature is below or above these values. If you wear a pacemaker, you should avoid handling magnets as this can impair the functionality of magnets. Do not store magnets near objects such as laptops, car keys, debit cards or data storage devices. Magnetic materials can only be used to a limited extent outdoors as they become brittle due to sunlight. Some magnets are coated with nickel and are therefore unsuitable for people with nickel allergies.

Magnetic foil as warehouse labeling/bearing plate

Ideal for labeling containers, storage boxes, shelves, etc.:

• Permanently magnetic signs made of high-quality magnetic foil, coated white

Magnetic film for car signage/car lettering

Signage and billboards on car doors are usually made from magnetic foil because, unlike other processes, it protects the car paint. The special film with a thickness of 0.8 mm and a white film coating is ideal here. The magnetic foil can be individually screen printed and cut to the appropriate format.
