Neodymium super magnets: the strongest in the world

What makes a neodymium magnet a super magnet? Why not use a cheaper ferrite magnet for a project? The special NdFeB (neodymium-iron-boron) compound achieves a high adhesive force even with small dimensions. Ferrite magnets are therefore considerably weaker for the same volume. We recommend super magnets if you need a small and lightweight product that also looks aesthetically pleasing thanks to its attractive, even silver surface. Since neodymium is a rare earth metal, neodymium magnets are somewhat more expensive than conventional magnets. The super magnets are therefore also known as rare earth magnets. We advise you to use a ferrite magnet:

• Use in outdoor areas
• high temperatures above 80 °C

In contrast to neodymium magnets, the magnetic properties - especially the magnetic strength - are very limited, the great advantage of this material is the price/performance ratio. Hard ferrite magnets are used where no significant adhesive forces need to be achieved and high quantities are required.
