Magnosphere offers Samarium Cobalt magnets in round Ring Magnets. Samarium magnets can be used for high-temperature applications where neodymium will not work. Samarium cobalt is the second strongest magnetic material behind neodymium and while not quite as strong has neodymium they are much more resistant to corrosion and have much higher maximum operating temperatures. Some of the ring magnets are supplied uncoated, while some are ring magnets are finished with a triple coating of nickel, copper and nickel.

Samarium Cobalt (SmCo) Ring magnets

Rare Earth Samarium Cobalt Ring Magnets can operate in high temperature environments, or in an application where a demagnetizing force is present. Samarium Cobalt Magnets are typically used in high temperature motors, aerospace and military applications. Ring Magnets can be custom manufactured in different ways so that they can be magnetized in a specific direction. Below is an overview of the different direction of magnetization options, however, the direction of magnetization can only be set during the manufacturing process and cannot be changed once the magnet is made. The rod magnets in this section are made from the rare earth magnetic material samarium cobalt. Samarium cobalt is the second strongest magnetic material behind neodymium and while not quite as strong has neodymium they are much more resistant to corrosion and have much higher maximum operating temperatures. Some of the rod magnets are supplied in their uncoated fun while some are finished with a triple coating of nickel, copper and nickel.


SmCo Magnets / Samarium-Cobalt (SmCo)

Samarium Cobalt rare earth magnets are often used in high temperature applications needing high magnetic performance and where magnetic stability over a wide range of temperatures is important. Magnosphere can help optimize performance and cost with SmCo magnets in grades from 16 to 32 MGOe and temperatures up to 350°C/662°F. Stock Samarium Cobalt magnets also available to reduce development and production lead times.


SMCO RING MAGNETS

SmCo Ring Magnets, ring shape magnets are made of rare earth Samarium-Cobalt(SmCo) material, which are also known as rare earth Samarium-Cobalt(SmCo) ring magnets. SmCo ring magnets are important industry ring magnets, which can work in a high temperature environment or in the application with demagnetization factor. The applications that have high temperature (like as aerospace, or military) must adopt samarium cobalt (SmCo) Ring magnets.

If you need corrosion resistant rare earth ring magnets, then samarium-cobalt magnets will be the choice. Electroplating is unnecessary for samarium-cobalt (SmCo) ring magnets. However, we recommend that you use them with care because they are fragile and easy to crack or chip. You can order various customized grades and sizes of SmCo disc magnets from Magnosphere.
