Samarium cobalt (SmCo) as the second generation rare earth permanent magnet, not only has a high magnetic energy product (14-28MGOe) and reliable coercivity, and exhibits excellent temperature characteristics in rare earth permanent magnet series. SmCo Cylinder(rod) Magnets are a cylindrical SmCo magnet with a thickness that’s equal to or larger than their diameter known as samarium cobalt (SmCo) cylinder or rod magnets. Samarium cobalt(SmCo) cylinder magnets are made of an alloy of samarium and cobalt, which also have strong magnetic force like as neodymium magnets. Due to their ability to maintain magnetic force, samarium cobalt(SmCo) cylinder magnets are better choice than neodymium magnets for working in extremely high temperatures.
